new Delhi [India], 14 December (ANI): Congress chief ministers Kamal Nath and Bhupesh Baghel attended the party’s ‘Save India’ rally at Ramlila Maidan in the national capital on Saturday.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath told reporters here, “The picture of the country is clear before the people. Congress has always fought for the people.”
Asked about the BJP going to the Election Commission on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “rape in India” comment, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhagel said: “He should have gone to the Election Commission against Modi when he called Delhi the ‘rape capital’. Said. Why were BJP leaders silent. Incidents of rape in Hyderabad and Uttar Pradesh? “
Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot said that people should be focused on the issues that matter to them.
“The economy has almost gained momentum. Job losses are at record highs and there is inflation. The government has failed to retaliate,” the pilot said.
The rally will be attended by Congress party workers from across the country to highlight a range of issues including “sluggish economy, rising unemployment and problems of farmers”.
According to sources, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other senior leaders will address the rally.
The Congress party rally was earlier scheduled to be held on November 30, but was later adjourned to December 14 in view of the winter session of Parliament, which concluded on Friday. (ANI)
