Traffic snarl-up is expected in parts of Delhi

new Delhi [India], 14 December (ANI): Congress’s ‘Bharat Bachao’ rally at Ramlila Maidan and protests in Jantar Mantar area, there is a possibility of traffic jam in Central Delhi on Saturday.
In this regard, the Delhi Police has issued a Traffic Advisory stating that no commercial vehicle – JLN route from Delhi Gate and Rajghat will be allowed; From Guru Nanak Chowk to Ajmeri Gate; Kamala Market towards Hamdard; DDU-Minto Light Point towards Kamala Market; Hamdard Chowk from Ajmeri Gate; And Mirdard to Turkman Gate.
Apart from this, no traffic will be allowed on the following roads – Ranjit Singh Flyover Barakhamba Road to Guru Nanak Chowk; Vivekananda Marg on both sides; JLN Mark (from Rajghat to Delhi Gate); Kamala Market to Guru Nanak Chowk; Chaman Lal Marg near VIP Gate; And Paharganj Chowk towards Ajmeri Gate.
Depending on the number of people participating in the ‘Save India’ rally, there may also be variations on bus routes, which the traffic advisor has said.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway at Ramlila Maidan for the ‘Save India’ rally.
The rally will be attended by party workers across the country to highlight a range of issues including “sluggish economy, rising unemployment, and problems of farmers”.
According to sources, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other senior leaders will address the rally.
The Congress party rally was earlier scheduled to be held on November 30, but was later adjourned to December 14 in view of the winter session of Parliament, which concluded on Friday. (ANI)
